"Come talk to Us"

Our Annual Report

Here's

What We,ve Been Up To

Message from the CEO

The 2017 Annual Report to the Community highlights efforts undertaken by BHI of Greater St, Louis as we have served the behavioral health needs of nearly 12,000 individuals across St. Louis City and County. In the spirit of empowerment, and fulfillment of our mission as a behavioral health provider and advocate, we will continue to find new opportunities in 2018 for engaging individuals, families, schools, and communities in stigma reduction, prevention and wellness, screening and early intervention, crisis intervention and response, and connection to our services and other resources.

During the past year, we welcomed seasoned volunteers into new community service roles. We are reckoning with the future of healthcare and of the public behavioral health system under proposed federal and state changes. BHI has maintained a lease on office space in the metropolitan St. Louis area which is under inspections needed to insure local, state, and federal compliance with building and other ordinances, for the safety of BHI constituency and the community at large.

We are thrilled that in 2021, that additional volunteers have joined our efforts, supporting the expansion of our program and administrative capacity. To the dedicated board and staff leadership, committed community partners, local champions, innovative staff, resilient clientele, and passionate advocates,

Thank you for all you do.

Sincerely,

Harold Mangrum

2020-2021 HIGHLIGHTS:

Our Community Education efforts are under way as a component of partnership development which includes but are not limited to present & perspective clients and their families as well as present and prospective care partners.

LETTER TO THE COMMUNITY

Dear Friends,

This past year has been yet another year of services to the community via Behavioral Health Interventions of Greater St. Louis supportive responses to the communitys diverse mental health needs, with you, the community leading the pack.
Whether serving the unique referral needs of adults involved in the court system or strengthening the emotional and social development of individuals and families who are victims of mental illness, our primary goal is to deliver family-centered and integrated care. This commitment to families and their integrated care involves much more than making referrals of clients to community agencies.

Instead, our programs also touch the multiple lives of those people most closely involved in clients daily lives. For instance, our community support program deliberately provides coordinated care which engages a wholistic approach in all of our intervention effors. Likewise, our treatment programs for court involved adults include input from family members, probation officers, case managers, and judges of St. Louis City and County courts.

Next year, our commitment to integrated care will increase further through our efforts to become a medicaid provider for the Missouri Department of Mental Health, as well as a provider for other Missouri Human Services Agencies. Currently, we are coordinating care for our clients through our corp. of clinically educated/certified/licensed volunteers.

Each year, we refine our efforts towards developing new initiatives to meet the dynamic needs of individuals and families who are struggling with mental wellness. Last year was no exception – despite the growing number of Greater Missourians who are uninsured or receive limited Medicaid insurance, we did it again this past year. Without you, our efforts to serve the community would be even more challenging.

Despite such challenges however, our combined efforts as, volunteers, donors, supporters, & board members, make a significant contribution to the lives of more than 1,500 people each year.

Sincerely,

Harold Mangrum
